Industrial Appliance Hardware
Tripwire launched its Tripwire Industrial Appli- ance line of hardware for security industrial envi- ronments in January. The one-box solution gives industrial organizations visibility into their opera- tional technology networks through a passive asset discovery approach. It embeds with the company’s industrial visibility software to provider industrial and enterprise grade hardware. A new option for bump-in-the-wire deployment capability will soon be available. Tripwire also expects to release a new version of its industrial visibility software that fea- tures secure cloud capabilities, an improved user interface and automatic threat intelligence updates. Users will be able to set, control and edit firewall- like rules to determine allowable communications.

Automatic Gates
Automatic Systems announce that two of its automatic gates, the BLG 76 and BLG 77, have earned ETL listing to UL 235 standards. The newly redesigned, full height automatic vertical lift gates have been used as a long-term access control so- lution for a facility’s perimeter. UL 325 standards seek to protect people from accidents involving automatic gates and recognize products that fol- low user safety guidelines. Both the BLG 76 and 77 gates were redesigned to implement the necessary entrapment protection needed to comply with UL 325, which states that gates must begin reversing within two seconds of sensing an obstruction. The requirement is intended to keep a person from be- ing entrapped in a stationary position.

CMOS Sensors
SmartSens has added two 3M pixel CMOS sen- sors, the SC3235 and SC3320, to its video sensor product portfolio. The new products are designed to perform well in low light environments, making them ideal for use in webcams and security cam- eras. 3MP sensors provide 50 percent more pixel- resolution than 2MP sensors and has distinguished its offerings to be “Full HD Pro” rather than 900P HD. The tech guarantees a dynamic range of up to 100dB with 60fps supporting 2-exposure HDR and Near Infrared enhanced imaging. The sensors are designed with customers’ system requirements in mind, especially the limits of bandwidth and pro- cessing power. SmartSens hopes it will diversify the product line of OEMs.
