Video-Intercom System
Alpha Communications announced it has released its new AlphaTouch multi-family smartphone video- intercom system. The AlphaTouch system is an IP- based, cloud-hosted, smart video-intercom system that allows residents to see and speak to visitors, and release the door, on their smartphone, using their AlphaTouch app. At its core, the AlphaTouch system features one or more 7.0” touchscreen door entry stations. AlphaTouch also features analog in- tegration, which allows AlphaTouch to work with virtually any existing analog intercom (or video- intercom) system, using the existing apt. stations and wiring. The AlphaTouch system can handle any number of door entry stations and any number of building residents. The model AT700AS door sta- tion is a modern, sleek surface mount design, and protrudes 1.25”off of the wall.

Remote Deadbolt
Kwikset introduces the next generation of its Sig- nature Series Deadbolt with Home Connect. Avail- able in both traditional and contemporary models, the new Signature Series Deadbolt (2nd Genera- tion) with Home Connect will feature two significant upgrades. Firstly, the lock will utilize the newer Z- Wave Plus 500 Series chip. Supporting over-the-air firmware updates, the new chip extends the lock’s wireless range while providing network security and encryption. Secondly, the lock will feature a smaller interior footprint, creating a pleasing aes- thetic and blending in easily with any décor. When connected to any standard smart home hub, these motorized deadbolts enable true remote locking and unlocking. This allows homeowners to remote- ly access and control the lock by using the app.

High Definition Printer
HID Global announced that its HID FARGO HDP6600 High Definition Printer/Encoder is a retransfer print- ing solution for ID card personalization that has GreenCircle certification. The HDP6600 printer achieves its energy efficiency using a design that also delivers fast overall throughput speeds and short time until the first card is printed. Sustainabil- ity is further improved through an optional waste- less lamination module that reduces waste byprod- ucts. The module cuts consumables costs nearly in half for printed and laminated cards. The printer offers true 600 DPI resolution with precision color panel registration for sharper text, crisper barcode edges and more vibrant colors than products that use dithering techniques and can only approximate this image quality.

LifeSafety Power Inc. adds the integration of Honeywell ProWatch to the FlexPower Gemini line. Gemini RGH is a compact, 19-inch rack-mounted enclosure engineered for areas where space is limited. It integrates ProWatch door controllers and power controller boards in a pull-out, easy- to-access mechanical housing, giving systems integrators the convenience of a tiered drawer con- figuration for their Honeywell access control speci- fications.
