Large-Area Detector
Viken Detection announced the introduction of its Broadwing-LAD accessory for the HBI-120 hand- held x-ray imager. The detachable, lightweight, large-area detector enhances vehicle inspec- tion capabilities for drug interdiction and enables new applications of the HBI-120, including building searches, tactical raids and counter-surveillance. The HBI-120 is currently in use by law enforce- ment agencies around the world and with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the U.S. border. The HBI-120 is responsible for significant seizures of cash, drugs and weapons concealed in vehicles. The addition of the Broadwing-LAD accessory pro- vides not only a deeper scan but also a larger view of items being inspected, including vehicles, and even allows authorities to “sweep” rooms to ensure safe entry for officers.

Traffic Violation Detection
Intelligent Security Systems announces its new SecurOS Crossroad Traffic Violation Detection So- lution. The new solution combines engineered analytics-driven software and hardware to provide real-time detection of traffic violations. SecurOS Crossroad monitors multiple vehicles and pedestri- an behavior at intersections and potentially hazard- ous roadways. The turnkey solution automatically detects vehicles that run red lights and stop-signs, are travelling in the wrong direction, and various other violations. Designed to seamlessly integrate with Safe City systems, SecurOS Crossroad also generates detailed traffic statistics data, which can be used in municipalities’ traffic management systems. This latest addition to the ISS portfolio of natively developed analytics is based on the com- pany’s recently enhanced SecurOS v.10 Video Man- agement System (VMS).

Access Control System
Nortech recently announced its NorParc system for access control. The system provides central- ized count management, monitoring and guidance control for parking facilities that have multiple entry and exit points. Nortech’s car park counting solutions include a comprehensive range of high- intensity RGB variable message signs (VMS) that use low profile LED matrices offering bright, clear messages indicating available spaces and status messages. Each VMS display panel can display count values of up to 5 digits and, depending upon the sign variant there are options to display ‘FULL’, ‘OPEN’ or ‘SPACE’ and direction arrows. The range includes single level internal and external signs plus self-contained multilevel information signs. Some of the features include full color display and a LED optical system.

Gunshot Sensor and Camera System
Shot Tracer announces the company’s new Shot Tracer Eagle Eyes Integrated Gunshot Sensor and Camera System. Eagle Eyes’ integrated wide area video capabilities has auto-push notifications to combat active shooter incidents. Shot Tracer Eagle Eyes integrates gunshot detection sensor technol- ogy with three integrated wide angle 5MP cameras. The instant a gunshot is detected, Shot Tracer Eagle Eyes’ cameras automatically activate to capture highly detailed still images with SMS, email, JSON, *Android and *IOS IP notification. Deployment is as easy as installing an Eagle Eyes device with our built-in network. Only power is required. It features field-proven technology initially developed for law- enforcement and military use employing advanced sensors (not microphones) to detect gunshots.

12-Port Switch
ComNet is introducing a new 12-port Gigabit- managed Layer 2 switch that includes two 10GigE uplink ports designed for high-bandwidth usage requirements such as smart cities and connected vehicle applications. The CNXE2GE2TX8MSPOE- managed Layer 2 switch features eight dedi- cated 10/100/1000BASE-T(X) RJ-45 ports com- pliant with IEEE802.3af/at PoE, two dedicated 100/1000/2.5GBASE-X SFP ports and two dedi- cated 1000/2.5G/10GBASE-X SFP ports. The switch is designed to protect the network on which it is being used, offering multiple redundancy protocols to keep the network free from points of interrup- tion. Power over Ethernet (PoE) compliant with IEEE802.3af/at, is provided on the eight copper ports. The PoE ports are capable of delivering 30 watts of power to all eight copper ports.

PTZ Camera
Memoreyes introduces a patent-pending Megapix- el/HD quality, pan-tilt-zoom cameras that boasts a machine learning and an AI (Artificial Intelligence)- based learning control platform that provides an unprecedented set of advanced, almost human capabilities. Using thermal imaging, acoustical sound detection, and radar, the Model 360 analyzes 360-degree target data, focusing on situational awareness for the protection of persons and prop- erty. The system typically directs cameras to an event, identifying, tracking, and recording unusual behavioral patterns, accidents, altercations, and loud noises, such as a gunshot. Through machine learning (AI), it also intuitively anticipates potential risks and automatically responds to evolving situa- tions using light, sound, and voice messaging. Over time, the system learns the habits and trends as- sociated with each camera within a specific setting.
