Rekor Systems, Inc. announced Rekor Edge, its all-in-one camera and vehicle recognition solution designed to instantaneously read vehicle license plates, along with the vehicle’s make, model, color and body type. Rekor Edge integrates cameras, processors, and software to capture, read, con- vert, act upon, and store license plate and vehicle information in one device. Rekor Edge operates any 1080p-15fps with wide dynamic range and IR night vision, capturing full motion surveillance video, plate reads, and vehicle characteristics in all weather conditions. Rekor Edge has plate reads at 99 percent accuracy driven by a continuously improving machine learning engine. The system comes preloaded with a 3-year subscription to the vehicle recognition software, including mainte- nance, updates and support.

ProdataKey (PDK) and DW Complete Surveil- lance Solutions are offering a new integration be- tween pdk io access control and the DW Spectrum IPVMS video management platform. This integrated solution allows DW Spectrum users to review all pdk io event data from within the IPVMS interface. For example, activity at a door reader or a door propped open can activate the movement of a PTZ camera to provide corresponding coverage, initiate the pop up of a video layout, send email notifications to desig- nated users, generate an audio alarm at the moni- toring workstation, and create a bookmark within the recorded video stream at the time of the event. The integration allows DW Spectrum users to send commands back to the pdk io system to open or close doors, enable or disable certain features like “do not disturb,” and even trigger a lockdown. Altronix introduces a Lithium Iron Phosphate bat- tery backup solution. Now available in Altronix’s new series of NetWay Spectrum PoE+ Switches, these optimized chargers accommodate LiFePO4 batter- ies with significantly longer shelf life and more ef- ficient charge cycles than conventional sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries. It offers a 10-year battery shelf life, over 5,000 charge cycles and much reduced weight of the LiFePO4 batteries.
