Expand Your Commercial Fire Alarm Business
Connected Technologies LLC has expanded its fire alarm monitoring capabilities, allowing dealers to add growing fire alarm services to their business. According to a recent report from Grandview Re- search, the demand for fire protection systems will continue to increase steadily from 2022 to 2030. Connect ONE, the single software solution that controls intrusion, access control, video surveil- lance, and critical environmental monitoring and energy management systems now interfaces with additional popular commercial fire alarm panels. Along with the ability to integrate with the fire alarm modes of Bosch and DMP combination con- trol panels, dealers may also use Edwards, Fire- Lite and Notifier fire control panels for full-data monitoring within the Connect ONE interface.

Exceptional Audio, High-definition Video
Zenitel announces the addition of the new Turbine Mini with Video to its ever-growing portfolio of Turbine intercom and intelligent communication solutions. The new TMIV-1+ intercom from Zeni- tel provides video surveillance, two-way commu- nications, and remote-entry control, in a low-pro- file size (117 x 117 x 43.5 mm; 4.61 x 4.61 x 1.71 inches). It is perfect for use in indoor and outdoor environments, including buildings, universities, K12 schools and hospitals. For video surveil- lance, the Turbine Mini incorporates first-class video, with HD video up to 1080p resolution and a wide-angle lens that is also NDAA compliant. The ONVIF-conformant solution allows operators and users to see each other in all situations.
Weatherproof and Vandal-Proof
ProdataKey (PDK) has announced the release of its new “rugged” readers for use with 125 kHz cards and fobs. The new units, available in sin- gle-gang and mullion style, with or without key- pads, improve upon PDK’s former “ruggedized” readers by combining exceptional weatherproof and vandal-proof specifications within the same model. The new rugged readers feature an IP68 weatherproof rating, making them fully water- proof and dust-tight, and an IK10 impact-resis- tance rating – the highest rating possible. These qualities make them ideal for building exteriors, gates, commercial areas, industrial sites, and construction yards. They are also a good choice for schools, given their resiliency against student vandalism.
Services Provide a Scalable Solution
Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) by Bosch is a new offering that enables users to monitor, manage, record, and replay video security foot- age in the cloud from anywhere. It helps site managers, security operators, or operations staff make quick decisions when faced with alarms, preventing them from becoming incidents. With VSaaS, cameras are the only hardware invest- ment needed on-site, which benefits many busi- nesses – especially those with multiple sites or remote locations – and reduces their capital expenses. It also eliminates maintenance and de- creases costly site visits for storage equipment and server upkeep, while creating new recurring revenue streams for integrators.
