HID Global has announced the OMNIKEY Secure Element that sets a new simplicity standard for reader manufacturers and others integrating RFID-based security technology into connected solutions. It supports applications in connected workplaces, healthcare environments, education campuses and office buildings. HID Global’s OM- NIKEY Secure Element will succeed the iCLASS SE Processor and is the first step toward con- solidating and optimizing the company’s desktop reader and reader module offering to create a smarter, unified embedded and desktop prod- uct portfolio. OMNIKEY Secure Element provides wider integration capabilities than the iCLASS SE Processor while retaining compatibility with it at an API level for a straightforward migration.

In addition, Argus Air is compatible with document readers of all common brands on the market. It can be easily installed and used with existing credentialing systems for a seamless integration.
Infant Security System
Interface Security Systems has announced an expanded suite of Personal Protection Monitoring services that use active RFID tags to protect infants from abduction, prevent mother/infant mismatches, and monitor memory care patients. Personal Pro- tection Monitoring was first launched in June 2020 with a focus on protecting at-risk lone and mobile workers in retail, restaurant and hospitality brands. Ideal for Infant security system for newborn infants in birthing centers and hospitals to prevent abduc- tions and accidental pairing of the infant with the wrong parent, and wander management system for patients in hospitals, behavioral health facilities and memory care centers. Interface has partnered with GuardRFID to implement the infant security and wander management systems.
