First Responder App
IN FORCE 911 is now being used by the Jack- son County Courthouse and Sherriff’s Department in West Virginia to connect law enforcement to people in emergency situations. The application is an advanced software tool that facilities immedi- ate communication between employees inside a building and law enforcement officers in the field during an emergency. Staff at the courthouse and sheriff’s department can launch an alert to officers within seconds rather than minutes through their current 911 system. Staff can communicate details to first responders, who are also given access to floor plans, security camera feeds and other emer- gency information (if available) to help plan the best response. The app is used throughout the country, mostly at school districts in Virginia and Massachu- setts. The company is based in Massachusetts and has been deploying the software since 2018.

Network Security Tool
AtEar offers a scalable wireless network secu- rity tool, including what the company calls the first web-based wireless vulnerability assessment solution. For businesses, the software utilizes fin- gerprint devices for access to the network and analyzes the current wireless network conditions. A testing function available through the platform analyzes wireless vulnerability. For home networks, the company offers software that inspects network security conditions and monitors for any unregis- tered devices. The user is alerted if unauthorized devices are logged into the network, allowing the network owner to remove the device and address any hacking threats. If the platform detects threats, such as a wireless DoS attack, it can notify the user and help check the repetition rate of each attack.

Pressure Chart Recorders
Palmer Wahl Instruments Inc. added Differen- tial Pressure chart recorders to its existing line of mechanical circular chart recorders. The hardware features an edge welded rupture-proof pressure cell that provides up to 30 percent added lifespan and improved linearity. The fully mechanical dif- ferential pressure cell with dual bellows design requires no power and features over-range protec- tion. The recorders are available in 12-inch chart sizes. They are designed primarily for use in the oil and gas industry and help those professionals monitor flow, filtration and liquid levels. The prod- uct also includes pulsation dampening capabilities that can compensate for variations in line pressure. A temperature compensator also protects the unit from drift caused by temperature changes. Each unit comes with a three-year limited warranty that can be extended for up to ten years.

Ethernet Port Equipment
Antaira Technologies announced the expansion of its industrial networking infrastructure product line with two new additions: the LMP-1802G-SFP and LMX-1802G-SFP series. The products are industri- al-grade equipment that is Ethernet-ready to fulfill edge-level networking applications in harsh envi- ronments, particularly manufacturing automation, security surveillance and more. The devices sup- port high density Ethernet port connectivity, wide bandwidth and long distance data transmission. The LMX series is recommended for campus ring solutions, since it has two fiber optic ports support- ing an open standard ring technology (ERPS). The LMP series is for high density security applications because it allows connectivity through areas where electromagnetic interference may cause issues.

Video Management Software
Johnson Controls introduced the latest version of its exacqVision video management software, with updates that include automatic transfer of video after a server failover, a new access control inte- gration, support for network loss recording and en- hanced network security for mobile app users. The 19.06 version automates the transfer of recordings back to the server in the event of a server failover, saving administrators time by automatically trans- ferring video, audio and other data to the primary server. The update also includes an integration with the Tyco Software House access control system, al- lowing users to control door actions, search video using event metadata and more. A new cloud-host- ed service allows mobile users to connect to video without any inbound connectivity to the NVR.
