IP Cameras
Honeywell released a new suite of video cam- eras with the goal of strengthening building safety through advanced analytics and secure channel encryption. The Honeywell 30 Series IP cameras are designed to shield businesses against unau- thorized access and unsanctioned distribution of data and video. In addition, the cameras feature ad- vanced motion people detection, enhanced storage space and high image quality. The camera resolu- tion can go up to 5MP, allowing for clear images that are accessed through a user-friendly interface set up for remote viewing. Images can take up to 50 percent less storage space than on comparable cameras, lowering the amount of bandwidth used and decreasing operating costs. The cameras also comply with U.S. government procurement stan- dards under NDAA Section 89, which prohibits buy- ing equipment from certain companies.

People Counting Camera
Dahua Technology announced the addition of its new StereoVision people counting camera that incorporates AI with its advanced image process- ing technology. This technology provides improved depth perception to count people with up to 98 per- cent accuracy, according to the company. The cam- era’s side-by-side dual lenses allow each sensor to capture images of the same area from slightly different angles. Combined with real-time people counting and behavior analytics software, the cam- era offers video surveillance capabilities for retail- ers, museums and sports venues, where keeping an ongoing headcount is beneficial for security. The technology can send alerts when checkout lines become long and when visitors are idle for a speci- fied period of time, preventing theft or loitering.

Access Control System
HID Global plans to showcase its HID Safe Enter- prise software at GSX 2019 in Chicago. The access control web-based solution addresses the needs of security departments and large enterprise organi- zations alike by managing different types of physi- cal identities, including permanent and temporary employees, contractors and new visitors. The software utilizes pre-defined rules for on and off- boarding of identities, manages access cards and biometric data, and provides a central location to search and assign access levels for people enter- ing the organization’s facilities. HID Safe Enterprise also includes a self-service portal for employees to make requests for access or new badges. The com- pany says that the tool makes it easier for security managers to know details such as employees’ time schedule of access, whether that is 24/7 or during business hours.

Security Command Center
Trackforce launched its new Command Center, which removes the need for security companies to have onsite supervisors at each customer site. The platform has the ability to intuitively capture, process and display essential information from the field on an easy to navigate screen regardless of where the manager is located. In addition, the Command Center allows the manager to monitor security situations while accessing a unified threat analysis across multiple sites. The software acts as a component of Trackforce’s security workforce management platform. Users can either see a broader, regional display of data or choose to zoom in and monitor individual personnel activity. The Command Center also has push-to-talk and mass notification capabilities.
