File Integrity Monitoring
Lockpath has updated its security monitoring platform, Blacklight, and added new file integrity monitoring (FIM) capabilities to the technology. Blacklight users have access to new FIM func- tionality for all assets and activities monitored by the platform, establishing a supervision system that records any changes made with a timestamp, user name and what was changed in the file. Now, organizations who use Blacklight will be able to detect unauthorized changes and better meet compliance standards. The original platform is designed to provide accurate and timely data to customers about their network security without exposing their domain or admin credentials. The update was issued on June 30 and has gone into effect for existing customers. Lockpath is also of- fering a 14-day free trial of the platform.

Cloud-Based Security
Johnson Controls now offers Tyco Cloud, a cloud- based security suite designed to help customers move their access control and video surveillance infratstructure to the cloud. The suite seeks to help organizations reduce costs and scale their security operations over the internet. Customers can enable Tyco Cloud with a variety of existing camera sys- tems from dozens of different manufacturers. Using the platform’s intuitive interface, organizations can also customize their camera setup, video resolu- tion, upload schedules, bandwidth usage and more. The product’s Hyper View feature allows the user to search through 24 hours of recorded video from up to 100 cameras within a minute, all while offering a variety of video analytics services, like heat map- ping, object detection and crowd formation.

Eco-Friendly Access Control
ASSA ABLOY has introduced two new access con- trol solutions: the Adams Rite G100 wireless digital glass lock and the Securitron M380E EcoMag Mag- naLock. The Adams Rite G100, a surface mounted digital glass door lock, extends access control to all-glass doors without needing to change the aesthetics of the doors through cutting or drill- ing. The product integrates within existing access control software and supports single card or dual- factor authentication. The Securitron M380E is the next phase of the company’s EcoMag technology, improving upon the previous product’s energy ef- ficiency by reducing energy consumption by up to 80 percent. The product is designed to sense when a door is propped open and adjust the power the magnet draw, providing energy savings over previ- ous maglock models.

Redesigned Enclosures
LifeSafety Power Inc. has redesigned its E4 and E8 enclosures to give systems integrators and deal- ers more flexibility for their access control specifi- cations. The changes surround the depth of the en- closures. Now, the interior depth of the product will increase from 4.5 to 6.5 inches that allow for more interior space for batteries, wiring and equipment. The width and length of the enclosures will remain unchanged. The enclosures currently feature high grade steel design, removable doors, a lockset and a tamper switch. The products are also prewired for standard grounding and are engineered to mount FlexPower system modules alongside access pan- els in one integrated system. LifeSafety Power of- fers five models of the enclosure system, which are designed for low voltage power applications.

Micro Dome Camera
IDIS released its DC-C4212RX 2MP micro dome camera in August, adding it to the company’s exist- ing collection of IDIS DirectIP cameras. Measuring 3.39 inches by 2.28 inches, the camera is more low profile than some of the company’s other offerings and well-suited for high-end locations like jewelry shops and luxury hotels as well as educational en- vironments. The product eliminates the need for a pigtail cable, making it easier to install. IDIS says the camera is also able to operate in challenging lighting conditions and produce high quality video for live monitoring services. Other features include the ability to have plug-and-play integration with IDIS’ video analytics system, which provide orga- nizations with intelligence gained from heat map- ping, people counting, queue management and comprehensive reporting.

Centralized IT Management
Lantronix unveiled several new capabilities that have been added to ConsoleFlow, its centralized IT infrastructure management platform, and monitor- ing software optimized for out-of-band manage- ment. The latest software allows ConsoleFlow to integrate seamlessly with other Lantronix products, and enables IT administrators and network engi- neers to remotely monitor, manage and trouble- shoot IT equipment over broadband and cellular networks. ConsoleFlow is designed to reduce de- ployment and management complexity in addition to providing secure management via a cell connec- tion or a secondary dial-up. The platform, which can be customized based on an organization’s size, is available as a cloud-based software and as a vir- tual appliance for on-premise deployments.
