Dortronics’ parent company, Sag Harbor Industries, was founded in 1946 by Charles Edison, the son of inventor Thomas Edison. Sag Harbor Industries is a contract manufacturer of custom electronic assemblies for the OEM market. Dortronics Systems became a wholly owned subsidiary of Sag Harbor Industries in 1990.

The 4800 Series controls up to five doors – including doors with automatic openers – with built-in adjustable timers for propped door time, panic release unlock time, and unlock pause time for Rex unlock time. Additional features include 12 field assignable inputs and 12 configurable relay outputs, compatibility with leading access control software, a watchdog circuit that constantly monitors operation, LED input/output connection status indicators, and voltage spike/surge kickback protection. There’s a NEW addedfeature. Now there are optional auxiliary outputs available for automatic doors that also have locks on them.
