like? Look no further than in the New Media Consortium (NMC) and Consortium for School Networking’s (CoSN) new NMC/CoSN Horizon Report and Toolkit: 2017 K-12 Edition. In the new resources,
you will find the latest developments in technology that will likely im- pact teaching, learning and creative inquiry in K-12 education.
Regarded as the world’s foremost exploration of emerging technology trends and uptake in education, the report identifies six key trends, six significant challenges and six important developments in education technology that give school leaders, policymakers, teachers and technologists a valuable guide for shaping the future of student learning. The report is equipped with a robust toolkit to help leaders start meaningful conversations and take action around these new findings.
In making their analysis, NMC
and CoSN engaged 61 education and technology experts from 20 countries across six continents. The collaboration focused on a set of research questions to identify significant trends, challenges and technologies likely to be adopted within the five-year horizon. The accompanying chart outlines the major themes addressed in the report.
