THE NEEDS OF TEACHERS HAVE CHANGED OVER THE PAST FEW decades, so too have the classrooms in which they teach. More active and communal spaces have replaced tried-and-true desks and stationary chairs of old. Safco Products believes there is an opportunity to transform this space even more in the near future.
Safco’s Active Collection products are designed to promote active management throughout the day to help combat the negative effects of inactivity in many workplace settings. Now, the company wants to do the same for the K-12 arena.
With one eye on the future, Safco identified a variety of zones within the education market that could lead to success. Some of these zones include: classroom, office and administration, learning lab, media spac- es, and common areas. With all of these different zones, Safco felt there was plenty of upside in broadening its scale within the K-12 market.
Safco already has an assortment of products that can be used within the classroom. And following the success of their unique Zener- gy and Runtz Ball Chairs, and the AlphaBetter Adjustable-Height Desk, they’re looking to expand their collection of existing K-12 products in a
more cohesive manner this coming year.
Safco’s goal for the future: No matter what a learning environ-
ment needs, Safco will have a fun and active solution to create a more productive and modern space to enhance learning for all. SPM
