Anguil Environmental Systems is celebrat- ing its 40th anniversary on Aug. 12, 2018, with a party in downtown Milwaukee. Starting an environmental company in the late 1970s was not nearly as well received as it would be today, but Gene Anguil, the company’s founder, persevered, and four decades later, Anguil is recognized as a worldwide leader of industrial air pollution control and wastewater treatment technol- ogies. The anniversary party will draw ap- proximately 400 attendees from across the United States, Asia, and Europe and will be one of the first events in the new wing at Discovery World overlooking Lake Michi- gan, according to the company.

mer employees, as well as partners, key suppliers, sales representatives, and close family friends. “It’s important that we rec- ognize the people and companies that helped us get where we are today,” said Gene Anguil. “While my wife was our first, and arguably most important employee, there were also a lot of other vital contribu- tors to our success.”
The event will include a multimedia presentation focused on Anguil’s “Recipe for Success”: Vision, Expertise, Leader- ship, Employees, Resilience, Fun, Com- munity, and Family. Dinner and dancing will follow a series of speeches by key An- guil personnel.
“August 12th also happens to be Gene’s 80th birthday, so there may be some sur- prises,” said Chris Anguil, the founder’s son and president of the company.

New Ohio BWC Program
to Help Small Businesses
Ohio small employers have a new option for lowering their workers’ compensation premiums and increasing workers’ health and safety. They can now sign up for the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation’s new Policy Activity Rebate program. “Even small employers can save money and im- prove workplace safety by better under- standing Ohio’s workers’ compensation system,” said Kevin Abrams, COO of the bureau. “PAR offers a flexible alternative for smaller employers to improve safety and become more engaged in their risk management programs.”
Employers in the program earn cred- its for completing activities designed to improve workplace safety practices and encourage attentive management of their workers’ comp policies. They receive a 50 percent premium rebate, up to $2,000; to be eligible for the rebate, they must select from among 33 available activities and earn 11 credits during the policy year that begins July 1. Public employers can begin signing up Dec. 1.
