Haws® announced multiple internal pro- motions in June 2018, saying they support Haws’ continued success in the emergen- cy equipment and hydration industries. Stephanie Kilroy was
promoted to Executive
Vice President from her
previous role as Director
of Family Governance and
Programs, and Tim Hen-
derson, who has been with
Haws since 2000 as con-
troller within the finance
department, was pro-
moted to Vice President
of Finance, a role where
he manages the finance
and purchasing groups.
Henderson has taken on a
larger role to strategically
direct and support both
the local North American
market, as well as international locations in their financial and procurement needs, according to the company. Brian Clark is now Director of Sales, North America and Eric Clark is Director of Haws Services® and manages the in-house and field sup- port technicians throughout the United States and Canada. Melanie Mayer is Qual- ity and Compliance Manager, Ian Roberts is Project Engineering Manager, and Nuray Ebel is Applications Engineering Manager, managing the Applications Engineering team to provide custom and standardized engineered solutions along with quotations development, bid strategy, technical nego- tiations, and order execution support for both domestic and international projects. Hollie Tracy-Ochoa is now Project Man- ager and also will serve as a project leader for Haws Strategic Planning initiatives, ensuring consistency with company pro- cesses, strategy, commitments, and goals. . . . Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin on June 12 an- nounced the appointment of David Dick- erson as Acting Secretary of the Kentucky Labor Cabinet, with responsibility for co- ordinating and promoting positive work- ing relationships between labor and indus- try and enforcing state labor laws. Prior to the appointment, which was effective im- mediately, Dickerson served as secretary of the Public Protection Cabinet, oversee- ing nine regulatory and licensing agencies,
including the Department of Insurance, the Kentucky Claims Commission, the Department of Professional Licensing, the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission, the Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Commis- sion, the Department of Housing, Build- ings and Construction, the Department of Financial Institutions, the Department of Charitable Gaming, and the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. “David has made the Public Protection Cabinet a na- tional model in cutting red tape to improve government efficiency and effectiveness,” said Bevin. “I am excited that he has agreed to lead our Labor Cabinet during this cru- cial time, as historic economic develop- ment and workforce training initiatives are positively transforming Kentucky. As a former co-owner of a family-run business and a former county judge/executive, he understands the unique workforce needs of our growing economy. David will work diligently to support a strong, skilled, and safe workforce throughout the Common- wealth.” Mike Nemes, who was acting secretary of the Labor Cabinet, returned to his prior role as deputy secretary. . . .The American Society of Safety Professionals’ Board of Directors appointed Anil Mathur to serve a two-year term on the board as the society’s public direc-
tor, effective July 1. He
replaced Rand McNally,
who was ASSP’s first pub-
lic director when the posi-
tion was created in 2015
to gain a corporate per-
spective from outside the
occupational safety and
health profession. Mathur is president and CEO of Alaska Tanker Company, a posi- tion he has held since 2001. “Anil’s leader- ship and business expertise will enrich our organization and help us better understand C-suite expectations,” said ASSP President Jim Smith, M.S., CSP. “His commitment to workplace safety is well known across the industry and will enhance our ability to achieve strategic objectives. We’re excited to have him.” Mathur’s term as ASSP pub- lic director will run through June 30, 2020. “I’m eager to play a role in helping ASSP execute its mission as a global occupational safety and health leader,” said Mathur, who received an ASSP President’s Award in 2012. “I respect ASSP’s leadership approach of collecting a variety of experienced view-
points.” . . . The board of SAIF, Oregon’s not- for-profit workers’ compensation insurance company, voted June 6 to elect Jeff Stone board chair and Krishna Balasubramani vice chair.
