Are You Thinking About Complacency at Heights?
You can’t see it but this worker isn’t entirely focused. He may be looking at the scaffolding but his attention is pulled in a thousand directions.
He could be thinking about a work deadline. He could be thinking about his kids. He could be thinking about taking a safety shortcut.
One thing he should be thinking about—the risk of falling. Complacency greatly increases the likelihood of a fall. It’s
up to you to help him focus on risk and fight complacency. Learn new methods of keeping people working and thinking
safely whether they’re on a ladder or 600 feet in the air.
