Cure SMA Plans 2020 Summit of Strength Events
Calling its 2019 events a “huge success,” Cure SMA has announced it will host new Summit of Strength conferences in 2020.
“The 2019 Summit of Strength Program was a huge success, with more than 135 speakers sharing their expertise on numerous highly rated and unique topics,” the spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) organization said in a news announcement. “We would like to thank these wonderful speakers and all attendees for making [the] year’s program so engaging and insightful.”
The events are designed to be convenient to travel to and attend for local families
The Summits are one-day events for people with SMA, their families, and their caregivers. At the events, attendees learn about the latest treatments for SMA, as well as about support services, care for people with SMA, and SMA-related advocacy.

In the last year-plus, Cure SMA has hosted 36 Summits of Strength across the country, with 2,900 attendees participating.
The 2020 Summits will be held in Anaheim, Calif.; Baltimore; Boston; Chicago; Cincinnati; Dallas; Des Moines, Iowa; Grand Rapids, Mich.; Houston; Indianapolis;
