Event Coverage
All In: Numotion’s
Annual NLC Goes
Nationwide
DALLAS — Numotion’s National Leadership Conference (NLC) has always included as many Numotion team members as possible, with certain events — notably, Steve Gleason’s keynote a few years back — accessible even to those who don’t travel to the NLC, held this year at the Hilton Anatole, Jan. 23-25.
Andrea Barnett, Director of Communications & Digital Strategy, explained, “We use the NLC as an opportunity to update, teach and inspire our ATPs and Specialty Account Managers. But it takes our full team to meet the needs of our customers, and every employee, no matter their role, can make a difference. This year, we extended the meeting to all employees so that everyone could learn, grow and be inspired together in order to best serve our customers.”
That included taking part in Numotion’s annual public service day, when NLC attendees donate a morning to charity. Past recipients included Morgan’s Wonderland accessible theme park, and A.G. Hilliard Elementary School, devastated
Numotion CEO Mike Swinford addressed Dallas attendees as well as branch offices via live Webcast.
But for 2020, Numotion dramatically expanded that idea to make the NLC a national experience company wide — fitting for an event with a theme of All In.
A number of prominent activities — including CEO Mike Swinford’s Thursday keynote, Friday evening’s awards dinner, and Saturday’s keynote — were Webcast in real time for “viewing parties” in Numotion offices and employee homes. Sometimes, the reverse happened: Melissa Georgeoff (EVP Payor Relations) and Tim Casey (Chief Compliance Officer) gave presentations in the Hazelwood, Mo., office as attendees in Dallas and those in other Numotion branches watched via video feed.
Learning & Celebrating As a Team
Offices received “Event in a Box” kits complete with supplies and T-shirts, so everyone could make the most out of the NLC.

This year, the 600 employees at the Hilton Anatole chose from three service projects. Teams built wheelchair ramps
at six Dallas homes. Some 150 volun- teered at Special Olympics’ statewide volleyball tourna- ment. And at the Hilton Anatole, 400 attendees assem- bled more than 112,000 pasta meals for Feeding Children Everywhere, a non-profit working to eliminate hunger.
Service projects in Dallas included staff- ing a Special Olympics tournament and packaging meals.
Those efforts were multiplied nationwide. The Charlotte, N.C., team tackled painting, cleaning and landscaping tasks at Hinds Feet Farm, a program for people with brain injuries. The team from Cypress, Calif., made armed forces care packages. Numotion visited Gateway Education Center in Greensboro, N.C., to service wheelchairs, while Hazelwood,
