Ki Mobility Establishes Canadian Division
Two recent acquisitions have resulted in Ki Mobility estab- lishing a new division: Ki Mobility Canada Ltd.
In a Jan. 9 news announcement, Ki Mobility said it had acquired NuVision Rehab Group and Western Home Medical. NuVision and Western Home Medical are located in Calgary, Alberta.
Those two companies have now formed the new Ki Mobility Canada.
NuVision is already familiar with Ki Mobility’s product lines, as it’s been selling Ki products for the last four years.
Doug Munsey, President of Ki Mobility, said in the industry announcement, “Forming Ki Mobility Canada allows us to better support our products and services to the dealers in Canada and is an essential part of our
overall growth strategy of becoming the leading provider of complex rehab seating in North America.”
He added that NuVision “will continue to represent and distribute their existing product lines that include Special Tomato, Silvalea, Essential Medical Products and many others, as well as continuing to manufacture products through their Western Home Medical division.”
Ki Mobility, established in 2005, is headquartered in Stevens Point, Wisc. The company started out designing and manufacturing ultralightweight manual wheelchairs, but has since expanded to also offer manual wheel- chairs in the pediatric and adult tilt spaces. Ki Mobility has also created the Axiom cushion line. Check out Ki’s newest ultralight chair, the Ethos, at the International Seating Symposium, Booth 625. m
