CGS, Medicare’s Jurisdiction C DME MAC, has uploaded its annual reminder to physicians to encourage them to fully and correctly fill out Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMN) as part of the DME process. The letter, signed by Robert, Hoover, M.D., the CGS senior medical director, says in part, “Suppliers of durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and supplies are your partners in caring for your patient. They will not receive payment for their services until you return
the completed, signed and dated CMN.
