The Problem
Health care leaders and lawmakers do not fully understand the value of the ATP and CRT provider, leading to poor public policy decisions that hurt patients and businesses.
The Solution - Functional Mobility
Assessment Program
First scientific outcomes program for the CRT industry, developed by U.S. Rehab and the University of Pittsburgh
“The new brand was born out of a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children with special needs and their families.” The news announcement said the brand “is dedicated to manufacturing inno- vative, clinically sound positioning and mobility products, designed
to enhance a child’s ability to play, engage and participate in daily living.”
The bringing together of three established complex rehab compa- nies means Inspired by Drive already
starts with a solid foundation of products in the positioning, mobility, bathing and toileting segments of the industry.
VP/General Manager Matt Lawrence said in the news announce- ment, “Making a difference for families of children with special needs matters to us. The grace, love and determi- nation of special needs families gave birth to our brand name and moti- vates the current and future vision of the Inspired by Drive product line.”
The new brand also has a new comprehensive Web site, inspired-, which features car
seats, wheeled mobility, walking aids, seating and positioning, bathing, and toileting products formerly offered by Columbia Medical, SOS and Wenzelite. An upcoming Live Inspired page will share stories of Inspired by Drive fami- lies and consumers.
Inspired by Drive is headquartered in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., hometown of Columbia Medical. l
