Amara
The Amara Therapeutic Wheelchair Back System is designed to improve comfort and support by eliminating the hammock effect of standard wheelchair backs. Amara backs were created to maintain spinal and shoulder alignment and to provide superior pressure redistribution. They’re available in three configurations: fixed back, adjustable back, or dual-zone back. The fixed and adjustable backs are made of high-density Medflex foam, while the dual-zone back has a combi- nation of Medflex and Viscotec memory form for added comfort. All Amara backs have Vyvex-III non-shear covers. The backs are coded E2611-2612.

Custom-Molded
Backs
Matrix Seating USA’s custom-molded backs offer superior ventilation and pressure distribution, and they’re also designed to be infinitely adjustable. The backs can be grown to accommodate weight gain or evolving positioning requirements. The ventilated design results in excellent reductions of heat and moisture, while also providing optimal pressure distribution. And the backs flex with the wheelchair’s movement to maxi- mize shock absorption, reduce shear and reduce pressure.

AGILITY Carbon
Back System
With a compression-molded, lightweight carbon fiber construction, the AGILITY Carbon combines high-strength perfor- mance with a streamlined design. With single clamps on each side, hardware is smaller, lighter and stronger than typical fixed-back hardware. Discs lock into the carbon fiber to create a solid backrest; when loosened, the discs allow the shell to rotate independently to provide 15° forward/ rearward angle adjustment in 5° incre- ments. Widths range from 14" to 18" in
1" increments.
