AutoVu Plate Finder Become Mobile
Genetec Inc. has announced AutoVuTM Plate Finder, a new feature that enables parking op- erators and law enforcement professionals to quickly identify and validate license plate num- bers directly from their Apple or Android mobile devices. AutoVu Plate Finder increases efficiency by reducing the time spent manually checking difficult-to-read or obstructed license plates. For example, vehicles with rear-facing license plates backed into parking spots cannot easily be read by vehicle-based ALPR systems. Instead of hav- ing officers exit their vehicles to input the plate number in the onboard system manually, Plate Finder enables them to take a picture of the li- cense plate from their phone.
A New Level of Convenience
Leading global access solutions provider Salto Systems, part of SALTO WECOSYSTEM, announc- es the launch of the new Design XS Keypad Wall Reader series. With a sleek design that is ideal for any space, this revolutionary product repre- sents a breakthrough in access control technol- ogy. Designed for ease of use for physical cre- dentials and mobile access, the reader is built to last with a durable keypad. To assist the visually impaired, numbers and symbols are embossed with 5-point braille. The Design XS Keypad Wall Reader is designed to set new industry standards in smart access control. With multi-factor au- thentication and the option of PIN code access, this wall reader provides double authentication and enhanced opening modes, which significant- ly increases security.
Eye-level Viewing Angles
The new T series wall-mount cameras from Hanwha Vision solve the obstructed-view challenges asso- ciated with dome surveillance devices in high over- head mounting positions. The new cameras deliver an “eye-level,” nearly 180° panoramic field of view while capturing detailed 5MP resolution video for accurate people and object identification. The T se- ries cameras (model TNV-C8011RW) can fit a range of commercial surveillance applications requiring wide fields of view of any property or establishment without blind spots. Potential installations include gas stations, retail stores, drive-thru lanes, self- checkout kiosks, or other scenarios where users need to clearly see people and vehicles entering and exiting, detect theft and prevent loss, monitor customer activity to take immediate action, and im- prove guest experience.

High Impact Rating
i-PRO Co., Ltd. has announced its new AI-enabled Corner Camera. Built in Japan for the rigors of correctional facilities, this exceptionally compact and robust stainless-steel camera represents the smallest form factor, which is IK11 compliant. Its ability to withstand a 70 Joule (70J) impact far exceeds the common IK10 (20J) impact rat- ings of similar devices. The camera’s wide-angle view (131° horizontal, 95° vertical) limits blind spots, providing full room coverage. The sensor provides a ±5° yaw adjustment and a ±5° tilt to further conform to installation requirements. An invisible IR-LED illuminates up to 15 meters using a 940nm wavelength.
A Motorized Lens
Theia Technologies announces their new IQ LensTM System which includes a motorized lens, motor control board, average calibration data, and software with graphical user interface (GUI). Theia’s motorized lenses and motor control board are designed for integration into vision sys- tems for automation, robotics and intelligent traf- fic systems and use stepper motors to operate the zoom, focus, iris, and filter of the lens. Until recently, using them together required the user to develop software to translate desired engineer- ing parameters into motor steps and motor steps into lens commands. With Theia’s new IQ LensTM System, enhancements to both allow for quick and easy integration into the imaging system.
