Shooter Detection Systems Guardian Wireless Indoor Active Shooter Detection System The Guardian Indoor Active Shooter Detection System is an advanced gunshot detection and tracking plat- form. Guardian offers wireless or PoE sensors, which use two-factor authentication to detect a firearm discharge. In additional to specially calibrated microphones, each sensor has an infrared detector designed to capture the IR signature “flash” re- leased when a shot has been fired. All processing is done within the sensor and both conditions (flash and acous- tic shot signature) must be present in the correct sequence and timeframe if order for a gunshot signal to be recorded. IR sensors have been cali- brated so that “occluded” or non-line of sight gunshots can be captured.
