Features include the ability to deploy IP devices at longer distances with or without local power for new access and surveil- lance equipment, using the 802.3bt PoE standard - greatly reducing labor and installation costs. Teledyne FLIR is announcing the Boson+ features 640x512 thermal resolution and dramatically improved temperature sensitivity of less than 20 millikelvin, a feat typically only achieved in much more expensive, larger, and power-hungry cooled thermal cores. Fitting easily in the palm of a hand, the Boson+ is designed to integrate into unmanned platforms, security applications, handheld devices, wearables, and thermal sights. Made in the USA, the Boson+ includes a rede- signed640 x 512resolution, 12-micron pixel pitch detector with a noise equivalent differential tem- perature (NEDT) of 20mKor less which offers sig- nificantly enhanced detection, recognition, and identification (DRI) performance. Improved video latency enhances tracking, seeker performance, and decision support.

Cost-Effective Video Surveillance
3xLOGIC, Inc. has released its new varifocal Multi-Imager Surround Dome Camera (VX-20M- SURROUND-RAW. Designed for applications that require multiple angles of view that a standard camera cannot achieve, this new camera con- tains four 5MP varifocal lenses that provide separate video streams. Rather than purchas- ing and installing multiple cameras, dealers can now deploy a single device capable of capturing coverage of a scene. The varifocal lenses can be positioned in infinite configurations to allow end users to view and record what is most important. The Multi-imager is equipped with WDR, audio, and alarm for enhanced video capture. Optional advanced analytics are available with a license for each channel.
