Two New NVRs
Hanwha Techwin America has unveiled two new Wisenet X series NVRs that support the industry’s first video playback and recording of up to 8K super-high-resolution images. 8K recording can cover large areas with sufficient pixel density to allow operators to zoom in digitally and investi- gate image details in real time or forensically and still retain a clear image. The new NVRs in the Wi- senet X series (XRN-6410DB4/ XRN-3210B4) are scalable to a total of 160TB (Terabytes) of avail- able SATA HDD recording capacity. Both units support a recording bandwidth of 400 Mbps and include dual HDMI video outputs. The NVRs will be available in 64 channel (XRN-6410DB4) and 32 channel (XRN-3210B4) configurations and support simultaneous playback of all channels on a local monitor.

The Home Con- nect 620, Kwikset’s first smart lock in the “Home Connect” line, features: a 10-button keypad with one-touch locking; 250 user codes, and the lat- est Z-Wave 700 chip technology, which includes the convenience of Z-Wave SmartStart and the security of the S2 framework. Featuring a sleek, all-metal design and both traditional and contem- porary styling, the Home Connect 620 connected smart lock is designed to integrate with a variety of smart home systems and serves as a great value in a smart lock.
Traffic Enclosure Lock
ABLOY USA is offering a universal hybrid me- chanical/electromechanical product with the in- troduction of its new Traffic Enclosure Locks. The 75481 series provides several key access control options using less cylinder and offering greater accountability. The need to secure traffic criti- cal infrastructure is becoming more complicated due to new traffic cabinet technology. As more intelligent transportation systems find their way to market and are placed near busy roadsides, more states’ Departments of Transportation are inclined to find better methods to secure their cabinets. Complicating security concerns is that most need to be accessed at various times by qualified contractors and agencies for mainte- nance, repair and upgrade or timing adjustments. With only a one-key option, potential red flags are raised with access accountability once a key is lost or stolen.
Visual Verification Bridge CKB-312
OPTEX is expanding its Intelligent Visual Verifica- tion solution by introducing a 12 Channel Visual Verification Bridge (Model: CKB-312). This pow- erful gateway is the new hardware device that allows security professionals to connect ONVIF compatible cameras and alarm sensors to the Cloud based Visual Verification Portal powered by CHeKT. Aimed primarily to monitored alarm systems, the solution provides central station op- erators the ability to visually verify alarm threats within seconds, and respond accordingly. When installed and maintained properly, this system can eliminate 100% of false dispatches and dramati- cally increase customer satisfaction and reten- tion. The solution allows the operator to share video alarm event with the site emergency con- tacts to validate or dismiss the alarm.
