Bluetooth-enabled Card Reader
Camden Door Controls is introducing its CV-7600 as a mobile-ready based on RFID technology that com- bines Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and contactless smart card technologies. It’s capable of reading data stored on a contactless smart card credential via high frequency. In addition, it can also read data from a mo- bile credential stored in a smartphone’s wallet app via BLE technology—without physical contact - and then pass the data obtained to the physical access control system. CV-7600 readers are also compatible with MI- FARE prox. cards and fobs. This feature allows system managers the ability to assign the best/preferred type of credential for each system user. The CV-7600 Blue- tooth-enabled mobile readers are an ideal choice for access control system users that would prefer to use their smartphone instead of a card or fob credential.
New Occupancy Monitoring System
Hanwha Techwin America, a global supplier of IP and analog video surveillance solutions has an- nounced a new occupancy monitoring system and mask detection analytic for its P series AI cameras. The license-free occupancy monitoring solution uses AI to accurately detect and count people entering and exiting premises from multiple entrances while dy- namically displaying the current occupancy level for customers and staff. Mask detection analytics detect if masks are worn or worn improperly and send out alerts including customizable audio messages di- rectly from the cameras. As businesses seek to safely re-open their doors following the easing of COVID-19 related restrictions, Hanwha Techwin is providing businesses and organizations these important tools for free to ensure customer and employee safety.
Capabilities of Analytical Devices
Rigaku Analytical Devices is introducing the next generation narcotics, and other illegal drug analy- sis, equipment to state and local law enforcement agencies through new Excel Program. The Rigaku Expanding Capabilities Equipment for Law Enforce- ment (EXCEL) Program is designed to provide agen- cies with a modular analytical method for identify- ing the latest illegal and dangerous drug formations and strands, while keeping officers safe. As part of the Rigaku EXCEL Program, five different state/local agencies will be selected and presented one stan- dard Rigaku Progeny ResQ FLX 1064nm handheld Raman analyzer. Recipients will be announced on Oct. 30, 2020.
Connect Care App is a First
Open Options is announcing the Connect Care App, the access control industry’s first mobile app to deliver the most connected experience in the secu- rity market, providing customers with best-in-class technical capabilities and personalized services − all in their pocket. The new app establishes a first-of- its-kind digital version of a shared customer support model. It addresses the evolving needs of mobile- first, on-the-go security professionals for direct, always-on access to comprehensive resources and rapid assistance. An early access user of the Connect Care App affirmed the practicality and value of it. The new Connect Care App is an extension to Open Op- tions’ existing Connect Care support, which is widely used and known within the industry as the “white glove service” of customer support.
Thermal Station for Easy Monitoring
Dahua Technology has announced the launch of SafetyTemp (DHI-ASI7213X-T1), a thermal tempera- ture monitoring station. This easy-to-deploy solu- tion quickly measures skin temperature without the need for personal contact and provides an accurate temperature reading to help businesses and schools assess employees, customers, students and other visitors for elevated body temperature. Developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Safe- tyTemp system features a simple, portable setup that consists of a seven-inch screen and a camera with dual, 2MP, CMOS sensors. Different installation options make SafetyTemp a versatile solution for shops, restaurants, schools, and factories that need an efficient method to assess temperatures of em- ployees, customers, students and other visitors.
Explore the Role of Data Centers
B.I.G. Enterprises is showing its highlighting its role in providing security with its guard shacks at America’s data centers, which are among the most expensive construction projects and most expen- sive real estate transactions. Of greater impor- tance, the role data centers play in our economy is critical. Our nation would grind to a halt without them. Understanding this, B.I.G. Enterprises’ pre- fabricated Data Center Guard Stations are often the security anchor to many data centers’ multi- level security, equipped with perimeter fencing, anti-intrusion systems, dual authentication entry, biometric and color-coded key card security, and interior and exterior video surveillance.
