TRUSTED MANUFACTURER OF FIRE, SAFETY AND SECURITY PRODUCTS
Safety Technology International (STI) has been a long-time trusted manufacturer of fire, safety and security products that help deter false alarms, prevent theft, and minimize damage to equipment in public buildings around the world. For over 35 years STI has pro- duced protective polycarbonate covers, enclosures, push buttons, wire cages, and alarms to help address building concerns with disruption, vandalism, tampering and theft.
It all started with a solution to a problem.
Family owned and operated, the STI story begins three decades ago with a challenge by a Detroit school administrator who needed to stop false fire alarms. STI’s Founder, Jack Taylor, used his expertise in security systems to invent the original Stopper®pull station protector. The polycarbonate protective cover fits over manual pull stations and contains an internal horn. When the cover is lifted, the alarm sounds, drawing immediate attention to the area before a false alarm is pulled.
Now STI aides schools with push buttons which allow users to perform a calm and effec- tive action when needed—such as lockdown, exit, emergency and more. The multipurpose buttons are offered in six colors and several activation options.
Constructed of corrosion resistant polyester coated steel wire, stainless steel or cold- rolled steel, STI’s strong and durable wire guards help campuses protect against damage and vandalism to smoke detectors, exit signs, horns/strobes and more.
Every year false alarms, vandalism or theft of equipment costs billions in lost time in a classroom, unwanted fines for false alarms, and equipment replacement or repair. Strong and durable, STI’s alarms help prevent theft and misuse of exit/entry doors, fire extin- guishers, unauthorized use of important electronic devices and more.
Polycarbonate covers, metal cabinets, fiberglass and environmental enclosures help re- duce costly equipment replacement and repairs. With the installation of these tough prod- ucts, customers can rely on STI for proper operation of devices.
Rely on STI® for covers, cages, alarms and buttons to solve facility needs. For more information on STI’s solutions to problems, contact them at 800-888-4784 or visit their website www.sti-usa.com/sp352.
