NETWORK AUDIO
IS THE NEW NETWORK VIDEO
More than a few years ago, surveillance cameras made the transition from analog systems to IP connected cameras in a network-based system. operations, and seamless growth expansions for the end user customers. It also unleashed a giant wave of opportunity for network integrators and technology resellers. And while audio solutions were slow to follow video’s lead, they are now shedding their analog roots and transitioning to join the network as standard IoT devices. With these new opportunities,
IT’S NOT JUST AUDIO. IT’S INTELLIGENT AUDIO.
If you think today’s audio solutions are like the traditional 70v and 24v systems that have been around for years, think again. These antiquated systems are completely compartmentalized and use high-maintenance and costly analog technologies that require a dedicated rack, cooling systems, various components, and analog wiring that needs to be run carefully to avoid interference and cross
talk. These factors lead to high installation and maintenance costs.
Today’s network audio systems provide an all-in-

install solution. In fact, if your customers are using network video, the infrastructure is already in place for network audio. Network audio is easier than ever applications of security, public address, and music.
SECURITY
A network audio system adds immediate deterrence value and is the perfect addition to a video-based security installation. For example: imagine, a camera detects a potential intruder climbing a property fence. The camera can alert a security guard who can then provide a recorded or live announcement warning to the intruder using the network horn speaker. More often than not, this type of warning is the need for additional security measures.
