Recognized as an industry leading provider of media converters, Transition Networks has evolved their product offerings to include switches, network adapters, and optical devices. Both customer insights and exploding market demands have been an integral part of their evolution in offering smart, integrated networking solutions.
Last year, for example, Transition Networks released their latest Managed Ethernet Switches, both commercial and hardened grade. These switches are changing how security VARs effectively deploy and manage their customer’s network. Each allows users to enable Device Management System software, offering the network manager direct insight into features like remote log in, configuration, and automatic reboot. They also offer three different views of the network configuration, including topology, floor, and Google Maps views, one-click diagnosis and more.
They have also recently announced their new 4+1 Port Managed Hardened Gigabit Ethernet PoE++ Switch that will be available at the end of the year. The new managed enclosed switch is rated for use in harsh environments and can be mounted directly on a wall, pole, or the side of a building. This self-contained switch reduces the time, expense, and other challenges associated with city permit requirements, approvals, installation and access to equipment in traditional cabinet applications.
