Designed for narrow stile aluminum applications with life-safety requirements, the Adams Rite 8800 Narrow Stile Rim Exit Device has a strong, durable construction, a clean unobtrusive design, and is easy to install. The starwheel bolt interlocks the door to the frame to provide solid protection and prevent jamb spread. The 8800 Series exit device is designed for single door applications and pairs of doors with a mullion to provide higher security and better traffic flow; it has less pinch points making it a standard offering in many storefront applications with heavy door traffic.
When door closes, the nose-guard and starwheel bolt close around
the strike, creating a solid interlock between door and frame. When pushbar is depressed, the deadlocking slide moves back, unlocking the door.
