PRODUCT LAUNCH Shaping a Safer Future Changes for worker safety and health don’t happen by accident. BY ROBERT YANIZ JR. Occupational safety and health might constitute its own industry, but it’s imperative never to forget how profoundly it impacts every other sector. The work that OSH professionals do can literally save workers’ lives, regardless of the field or role they play within their organizations. However, for those without insider knowledge of how OSH operates, it’s easy to overlook its pivotal role in the tapestry of our workforce. Entering the OSH world relatively recently has been something of a wake-up call in this regard. While worker safety has always been paramount, working hands-on within the OSH industry brings to light the sheer scale of worker safety and the individuals dedicated to supporting it. Countless companies tirelessly strive to identify more effective, comprehensive, and cost-efficient ways to prioritize worker safety. Each year, they develop new methods to accomplish this mission. Especially in the current landscape, the OSH industry appears to be evolving faster than ever. Compliance standards and regulations are in constant flux, and companies are consistently held accountable for neglecting worker safety. More than ever, fostering a culture of safety has become a prominent theme across numerous industries. Nevertheless, the road ahead toward advancement is still very much under construction. At OH&S, our mission isn’t solely to keep employers informed of the latest developments within the OSH industry. We also aim to celebrate its successes and present what we perceive as potential opportunities for industry-wide improvement, growth or innovation. For it is only by supporting those within the OSH industry that positive change can occur. To that end, the next few pages highlight some of the companies, products, and solutions that are working to push worker safety forward. Twice a year, OH&S compiles these listings for our Product Launch section to showcase the industry leaders who are shaping the future of the OSH industry. This batch includes some standout entries destined to have a positive impact on workers and their employers alike. We hope these listings inspire you to do the same, as we collectively hope for even brighter, safer days ahead.
