Hugh Hoagland Presents: Disposable and Arc Rated Chemical Suits: Issues in the Market for Flash Fire and Arc Flash Protection
The standards addressing these issues in industry will be discussed, and some of the common suit materials will be introduced from a practical perspective for those exposed to the multiple threats of arc flash, flash fire and chemical contamination exposure. ASTM F1506, the new ANSI 203, ASTM F1891, NFPA 2112, CGSB 155.20 and NFPA 70E requirements will be discussed as they relate to these garments.
About the speakers:
Hugh Hoagland leads a leading testing lab providing arc flash, flash fire and thermal testing related to PPE and a training company addressing electrical safety in the workplace.
Stacy Klausing, M.S., is the project and quality manager for the ArcWear textile testing lab (www.arcwear.com), which performs testing for NFPA 2112 flash fire, ASTM F1891 and ASTM F1506 for arc flash.
