ASSE Lounge in the expo hall, social learning stations, community-specific evening recep- tions, and a Safety Escape Room Challenge, where attendees will team up to solve a series of puzzles and riddles by spotting hazards.
The Pitch for Safety offers attendees the opportunity to pitch their ideas for improving workplace safety to upper management and receive feedback on the best way to refine their messages. The Pitch is broken into two parts, with the opportunity to mingle with six senior safety leaders on Monday and six “elevator” stations set up Tuesday where par- ticipants will be given two minutes to present ideas to a senior operational executive and receive feedback.
Expo Hours
The exposition will take place at the Henry B. González Convention Center, which was built in 1968. The convention center offers 514,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space, including the largest ballroom in Texas.
In addition to more than 600 exhibitor booths, Safety 2018’s exposition floor is also host to Flash Sessions, which are short bursts of information that take place in various locations around the exhibit hall. This year’s flash session topics include “Tablet-Based Audiometry: Hearing Conservation for the 21st Century,” “Which Works Better in Safety Training—Hu- mor or Narrative?”, “Smart Sensors Are Eliminating Workplace Hazards and Saving Lives,” and “Women in Construction: Case Studies in Health Safety Workplace Culture.” The expo will also include Super Sessions, where some of the most popular sessions will be delivered right on the exposition floor, and hands-on demonstrations by exhibitors.

Sunday, June 3: 2:30 p.m.-6 p.m. Monday, June 4: 9 a.m.-3:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 5: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
