On the Move
Schneider Electric recently announced the appointment of Jerome Soltani as Vice President Field Services Operations & Operational Marketing in the United States, reporting to Senior Vice President Santiago Perez. Soltani is responsible for growing the capacities and competencies of the Field Services Operations teams to address rapidly changing customer needs and ensure superior customer satisfac- tion while also maintaining Schneider Electric’s record for safety, and he will help Schneider Electric customers real- ize the benefits of EcoStruxureTM and the company’s solutions, services, and exper- tise. “The world of energy is undergoing a massive transformation, and the current way of generating, transmitting, distribut- ing, consuming, and managing energy is not sustainable. More so than ever before, organizations need a partner that can help them balance electrical efficiency, sus- tainability, reliability, safety, security, and performance with low cost,” said Perez, senior vice president, Solutions & Ser- vices, U.S. “With his broad understanding of the drivers shaping the energy industry, his appreciation for the dynamic needs of our market, and his familiarity with the challenges our customers are facing, Je- rome will be the leading force behind the continued expansion of our Field Services Operations and Operational Marketing capabilities in response to these needs.” Soltani joined the company in 2007 as the Global Project Manager Officer based in Grenoble, France, and has held vari- ous roles in general management, sales, and operations for projects, systems. and services activities. Since January 2015, Soltani had been the vice president, Global Service Center, and recently the regional commercial leader for the Amer- icas. . . . Effective January 15, 2018, An- drew Medley, who has been a member of Glen Raven Technical Fabrics’ (GRTF) GlenGuard® sales team for more than two years, became Northeast Regional Sales Manager with GRTF’s sister division, Tri- vantage, LLC. Medley has been primarily responsible for GlenGuard’s business de- velopment and client relations efforts in the Gulf Region and Western United States territories. Rich Lippert, GRTF’s Techni- cal Director who oversees international sales for GlenGuard, remains in his cur-
rent role while assuming
the GlenGuard domestic
sales responsibilities va-
cated by Medley’s tran-
sition. Lippert joined
GRTF in 2006 and has
served in various sales,
marketing, and technical
roles for the GlenGuard
team since 2009. “Rich is passionate about the GlenGuard brand and exceptionally devoted to its customers. Rich is ideally suited for this expanded role—his repu- tation in the marketplace precedes him and his relationships with customers are well-established,” said Patti Bates, Vice President of Sales for Glen Raven Tech- nical Fabrics, LLC. Lippert continues to be joined in his domestic sales efforts by GlenGuard Market Manager Jeff Michel (Eastern U.S. territory) and GlenGuard Business Development Manager Ron Payne (Gulf Region territory). . . . Apex, N.C.-based Dragonfly Pond Works, an environmental services firm specializing in lake and pond management with cli- ents in the Southeast and mid-Atlantic regions, has named Tyler Cooper client service coordinator, a new position for the Triangle and Triad markets. “Tyler is tasked with providing comprehensive cli- ent service and in-depth reporting,” CEO Kim Macalister said. “With our explo- sive growth and so many crew members in the field, Tyler’s objective is to conduct timely site assessments for our accounts and identify opportunities for continu- ous improvement, which is key to our service philosophy.” Cooper has been a technician and crew leader at DPW since 2016. DPW currently operates in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland. . . . Brokk, a manufacturer of remote-con- trolled demolition machines, added Rich- ard Taylor as its training and application specialist. Taylor will train and assist cus- tomers and support the sales team. “Cus- tomers come first, and for that reason we continue to develop a strong training and service program,” said Lars Lindgren, president of Brokk Inc. North America. “As the construction workforce ages, the demand increases for machines that make work easier for experienced employees and more desirable for younger genera- tions. To make work enjoyable for both age groups, we want to not only provide
the proper equipment, but the appropriate training, as well.”
Business Moves
■ San Francisco-based Envirosuite, an environmental management software pro- vider, announced it has acquired the assets of Odotech, Inc., a Montreal-headquar- tered environmental technology company specializing in monitoring and managing odors, gaseous contaminants, and dust. The acquisition will bolster Envirosuite’s existing technology platform, enabling it to compete more effectively on a global scale, and the company said the addition of Odotech will add a depth of experience and expertise in industries where odor is a major cause of environmental issues and complaints, including the wastewa- ter, composting, pulp, and paper sectors, and in municipal services. Odotech owns a family of patents and intellectual prop- erty relating to its proprietary hardware and processes, including the OdoWatch platform, which supports active air qual- ity management for sites managed by in- dustries and municipal services.
Envirosuite recently was awarded con- tracts for air quality monitoring in both San Francisco and Los Angeles from the air quality regulatory bodies for those regions.
