COMPANY INTRODUCTION
Lewellyn Technology started in 1993 with a focus on electrical safety training for maintenance work- ers. Thecompanyprovidedhands-on,practicaltrain- ing taught by highly skilled and experienced former electrical technicians. Today, Lewellyn Technology is recommended by Fortune 500 companies and has become a leader in electrical safety solutions and training; providing arc flash assessments, safety program development, electrical maintenance as well as combustible dust services.
How did the company get there? Lewellyn Technol- ogy’s team of industry leaders and OSHA experts paved the way to success by building the company’s vision, core values, purpose, and goals, and it all revolves around the safety of workers. Aside from its leaders, the company also employs in-house en- gineers, technicians, and consultants who provide only the best work for their clients with multi-year project support and long-term partnerships.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY PROGRAMS
Lewellyn Technology conducts risk assessments in facilities to find electrical hazards and develops electrical safety programs to mitigate them. The electrical safety programs may include arc flash hazard analysis, arc flash labeling, infrared thermography, lockout/tagout, predictive/preven- tative maintenance, and safety training/worker qualification programs. Lewellyn Technology is also successful today because of their comprehen- sive electrical training courses.
COMBUSTIBLE DUST SERVICES
Combustible dust has only recently become one of the main concerns and focal points in safety and health because perceptions that combustible dust hazards are “low risk” vastly changed after several high-profile accidents/fatalities and increased enforcement of combustible dust hazards by Authorities Having Jurisdiction (e.g. OSHA, insurance carriers, etc.).
THE FUTURE OF THE COMPANY
Looking ahead, Lewellyn Technology is developing a data collection app that will make communication simpler but effective between its team of technicians and engineers and its clients; it will greatly reduce overall time to get clients their final report without the long wait. And the company is currently expanding its Indianapolis office to include its own training center with 50 new pieces of equipment, a classroom setting for its train- ing programs/seminars, and more rooms for future employees. Visit their site at www.Lewellyn.com to learn more as well as for job openings.
