SCOTT SAFETY: A HISTORY OF INNOVATION
Scott Safety is a global leader in the design, manufacture and sale of high perfor- mance respiratory protection products, monitoring and sensor equipment and other protective solutions for the fire services, petroleum, chemical, construction, indus- trial and emergency services including first responders, law enforcement, military and civil defense.
Founded in 1932 by Earl M. Scott, Scott Safety started as an aviation components manufacturer based out of Mr. Scott’s garage in Lancaster, N.Y. Since that time, Scott has positioned itself as a premier producer of respiratory equipment for firefighters, and its flagship product, the Air-Pak, is synonymous with SCBA within the U.S. markets.
Scott Safety’s history of industry firsts and innovation continues to this day. The com- pany has recently introduced several breakthrough products including Scott Sight, the industry’s first in-mask thermal imager, the AVIVA half mask respirator and the Protégé line of portable gas monitors.
