Raz-CAT
This compact, tilting rehab shower commode chair was speci cally designed for growing children
and smaller adults. The Raz-CAT’s adjustability
and modularity make it ideal to t kids
and teens through childhood and
beyond. An 18" wide seat frame
and base allow the Raz-CAT to
roll over most toilets. Adjustable
height enables the unit to clear
toilet bowls and provides easier
hygiene access by the caregiver.
Backs are available in 14", 16" and
18" widths and in 15" or 18" heights.
Seat depth adjusts from 11" to 16" with the
standard Raz-CAT seat. Tilt capacities up to 40° reduce pressure and provide optimal trunk positioning. With a frame that’s 3" shorter than the Raz-AT, the CAT (Compact Attendant Tilt) is more maneuverable than larger hygiene units, but still is compatible with Raz accessories and custom seats.
SoftWheel
As Seen at the Numotion Leadership Conference: Available in magnesium or aluminum models, SoftWheels feature pat- ented in-wheel suspension that automatically responds to uneven terrain to produce a smoother ride. SoftWheel’s lightweight con- struction makes it easy to lift the wheelchair in and out of vehicles. Choose a 24" or 25" wheel size, as well as a “stage” (based on
user weight), and a performance package
that further allows a choice of handrim, tire and tube for a truly customized package. SoftWheel is distributed in the United States by Numotion.

Suspension System
As Seen at the Numotion Leadership Conference: The new Dynamic Suspension System (DSS)
product line from Seating Dynamics
is a retro table suspension system
for manual tilt-in-space wheelchairs.
Wheelchairs often encounter uneven
pavement, sidewalk cracks and other
obstacles that cause bumps and vibra-
tions. The DSS is designed to transfer
those movements to the absorption system rather than to the wheelchair user to reduce unwanted e ects — such as pain, fatigue and increased tone — while providing a smoother ride that can translate to increased sitting tolerance. Currently available for Sunrise Medical’s Quickie and Zippie IRIS wheelchair models, Seating Dynamics is planning to make the suspension system available for additional wheelchair brands and models in the future.

Tactical Control Pushrim
As Seen at the Abilities Expo Los Angeles: Spinergy’s new Tactical Control (TC) pushrim is made of a new lightweight stainless steel and features an embossed texture for optimal gripping. The pushrim’s feel: non-sticky, cool even in hot temperatures, and non-burning in down slope/low-friction situations. The surface is easy to clean, and the textured pattern hides minor every- day wear so the pushrim continues to look great.

Transfer Sling
As Seen at the Abilities Expo Los Angeles: Created by former ight attendant Robin Wearley, the Adapts transfer sling is designed
to facilitate quicker evacuations of people with mobility-related condi- tions when a transfer wheelchair isn’t readily available (such as during an emergency airplane evacuation). The sling ts over airplane seats of various sizes and is water and ame resistant.
After the sling is tted over the airplane seat, the passenger sits on top of it. If an evacuation is needed, attendants (from two to six of them) can lift and carry the passenger out of the aircraft without requiring a wheelchair. When not in use, the sling folds into a compact tote for easy storage. The sling can be hand- washed in soapy water and air dried. The manufacturer says the sling has been tested to 250 lbs.
