Stand Up for Homecare and help promote a positive image of the home medical equipment industry by raising public awareness of homecare’s many bene ts. AAHomecare’s Stand Up for Homecare campaign supports consumer advocacy groups like United Spinal Association, ITEM Coalition, National Council on Independent Living, and Paralyzed Veterans of America – organizations that serve many of our patients, and are also strong allies on legislative and regulatory priorities. Money raised at the semi-annual reception also provides funding for direct outreach to consumers on our issues, conduct research which has had bene cial outcomes on Capital Hill, and has helped expand our network of grassroots advocates by thousands of new supporters.
