USA Hockey Hero Jim Craig Teams with Numotion
Jim Craig, one of the legends of American hockey, has partnered with Numotion.
Craig will “create motivational content to inspire customers and employees, and help create aware- ness for issues of those living with mobility disabilities,” Numotion said in a Jan. 8 news announcement.

Craig is best known for being the goalie on the American ice hockey team that won the gold medal at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, N.Y. That team, made up of college players, famously beat a much more experienced, heavily favored Soviet Union team in a semi- nal game later dubbed “Miracle on Ice.” The Americans then beat Finland in the gold-medal game.

over the Soviet Union became one of the Olympics’ most iconic memories.
Craig went on to play in the National Hockey League for the Atlanta Flames, Boston Bruins and Minnesota North Stars.
He was a keynote speaker at Numotion’s 2015 National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Fla. After that, Craig joined Numotion leaders on Capitol Hill to advocate for the complex rehab technology industry.
Numotion said Craig would provide blog posts and videos that share his experiences and observa- tions on overcoming the odds.

Craig’s initial contributions to Numotion’s Web site include video conversations in which he discusses the importance of having dreams and goals.
“I always believe that you have to have dreams,” Craig said in one of his videos. As a young boy, I had three dreams: I wanted to be a college hockey player. I wanted to make it to the Olympic Games. And I wanted to be a professional athlete. And all those dreams came true because I told people what they are. You are what your dreams are.”
In his video titled Goals, Craig said, “Every day, set a goal. Surround yourself with people who are going to help you achieve that goal. And realize that failure isn’t fatal, but being afraid to is.” m
