Providers Urged to Attend HME, CRT Legislative Events
AAHomecare calls on providers to register for May 22-23 Washington Legislative Conference, while NCART will host CTRT Leadership & Advocacy Conference on May 1-2.
he American Association for Homecare and The National Coalition for Assistive and Rehab Technology (NCART) are both calling on providers to attend legislative events for HME and CRT, respectively, that they are
hosting in May.
AAHomecare is encouraging providers to register for its upcoming
Washington Legislative Conference, which it is hosting May 22 and 23 at the Doubletree by Hilton Crystal City, in Arlington, Va. NCART will hold the 2019 National CRT Leadership & Advocacy Conference at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel, also in Arlington, on May 1 and May 2.
Washington Legislative Conference Details
For AAHomecare’s event, registration costs $49 for AAHomecare members and $99 for non-members. Providers wishing to register can do so by filling out and returning a downloadable PDF form at bit.ly/2019washconf.
The association aims to use the annual legislative event to build on recent legislative and regulatory successes, according to AAHomecare President and CEO Tom Ryan.
For hotel reservations, Doubletree by Hilton Crystal City is offering an early bird discount of $239 a night for a single room until April 29. To reserve a room, attendees should call the hotel at (800) 222-8733 and reference the American
Association for Homecare.

National CRT Leadership & Advocacy Conference Details
Registration is open for the event at ncart.us/crtconf, which in addition to facilitating in-person meetings between CRT stakeholders and lawmakers and staff, includes educational sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities.
NCART is encouraging a broad range of stakeholders to attend: CRT providers and ATPs; manufacturers of CRT and their representatives; clinicians; consumers; and CRT advocates
The Congressional meetings on Capitol Hill will run 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 2, with meetings scheduled for attendees by the event’s schedulers.
NCART has secured a room rate of $269 a night at the event hotel, the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel, which is available on a first-come, first-served basis until April 8. Reservations can be made online or via phone at (800) 228-9290, referencing the National CRT Conference.
In terms of accessibility, the hotel works to meet and exceed all of the requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act, according to NCART, and a list of accessibility resources at the hotel is available by calling (703) 413-1300.
