Drive cane tips get sporty while getting a grip
Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare has unveiled a new line of sports-themed cane tips to its canes and crutches line today. Resembling soccer balls, tennis balls, golf balls and basketballs, the cane tips fit most 0.75 in.-diameter canes and are wide enough to let canes stand on their own. The cane tips replace lost or worn out cane tips without the use of tools and provide a strong grip while protecting floor surfaces from cane damage.

Diffuser vent elbow cuts noise, smooths air flow
ResMed’s new QuietAir diffuser vent elbow for its AirFit and AirTouch F20 CPAP masks reduces noise by 89 percent and produces a 70 percent gentler air flow, according to the company. Excess noise produced by therapy is a key concern for both sleep apnea patients and their bedmates,
to the point that it can hamper
compliance. The QuietAir brings those noise levels for ResMed’s full face masks “well below ambient noise,” according to ResMed CEO Mick Farrell. ResMed

An entirely new take on cannulas
The Uni-flo2 single-prong nasal cannula
offers a simpler designed to address user
complaints with traditional dual-prong
cannulas, which have been in use since 1949.
The single-prong device aims to negate dual-
prong cannula grievances such as irritated
nostrils, sore upper lips, constriction around
the neck, and displaced prongs. The single
prong Uni-flo2 has a miniaturized double-
channel tube that incorporates a memory
stabilization system that adjusts to facial contours while lifting the single tube off the skin. The cannula also incorporates a soft-plus custom designed nasal cavity component that optimizes patient comfort.
