AAHomecare is leading the charge on policy and advocacy initiatives, continuing to press the case for longer-term relief for rural and non-bid area providers, as well as for significant structural improvements to the competitive bidding program with Federal regulators. We are also working to reduce audit burdens, increasing our engagement with private payers and government health contractors, researching the effects of policy changes the industry has already suffered through, and giving a voice to providers and patients.
The Association has made strong progress, including the recent win for CRT where CMS exempted Group 3 power accessories from pricing derived from competitive bidding, as well as working to convince TRICARE to adjust previous reimbursements based on CURES bill provisions. We’re well-positioned for more public policy gains this year – but we can’t make it happen without you. The results we are seeing today are in significant part a direct result of our collective efforts, which are most powerfully amplified via direct participation in AAHomecare through membership.
