                IT TRANSFORMATION
Agencies should go beyond simply replacing legacy infrastructure with 2.0 editions and take advantage of the opportunity to transform their operations, services and approach to IT infrastructure.
consistent experience and even enhance that experience.
Through it all, security must be paramount, and it must be consistent. Historically, we have brought the application to the security. We have built firewalls and on-premises technologies, and we’ve directed the application to go to that security tool. But with virtualization, we need to bring the security to the
application. As an application moves between data centers or into a variety of cloud environments, the security standards and tools must move with the application to ensure the protection of the data and the protection of the agency.
Ultimately, as agencies modernize, they need to ensure that they have a level of visibility, control and security that is consistent, maintainable and manageable
across an increasingly complex IT infrastructure of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures. That is a fundamental element of agencies’ efforts to modernize their approach to operations and services.
