Discovery and innovation in government IT
Better. Faster. Stronger. Smarter. And if at all possible, cheaper, too.
Such are the expectations for IT innovation in today’s public sector. The missions range from local citizen service to global cybersecurity concerns, but the upshot is the same at all levels of government: IT must not just improve mission delivery, but reimagine what’s possible.
Sometimes, that means inventing entirely new technologies. More often, it involves building on past advancements to bring new capabilities. And occasionally, the discovery lies in taking the same old technology and applying it in a dramatically different way.
As the 25 examples on these pages make clear, agencies and their industry partners are more than up to the task. The discovery and innovation taking place in government today are impressive, and everyone involved should be proud of the results.
