How to move grants
GRANTS
management to the cloud
When Hawaii’s Kaua’i County began a push to minimize paper, it seized the opportunity to adopt web-based grants management
BY STEPHANIE KANOWITZ
In Kaua’i County, Hawaii, grants management has long been an important part of local govern- ment operations. It has also been han- dled almost exclusively on paper.
When the county began a push to minimize paper and add web-based
systems, County Grants Program Co- ordinator Ann Wooton saw an op- portunity. Soon, the county will use StreamLink Software’s web-based Am- pliFund grants management software to track the grants the county receives and makes.
That type of software lets govern- ments manage internal business pro- cesses for receiving grant money, man- aging the distribution of that money, and then tracking and monitoring the grant’s programmatic and financial performance.
