Discovery
and innovation
in government IT
When it comes to technology innovation, the public sector doesn’t get the credit it deserves.
We have the government to thank
for GPS, the internet and unmanned aerial systems. When it comes to cybersecurity, advanced analytics
and robotics, the contractors that are partnering with agencies — not to mention government-funded research — are on the cutting edge.
And agencies at all levels are showing remarkable creativity in how they use new and old IT alike to deliver on their critical missions.
So let’s give credit where credit is
due. GCN’s Dig IT Awards are all about shining the spotlight on those examples of discovery and innovation. In the finalist profiles that follow, you’ll find 36 examples of just how cool government IT can be.
