The Center for Design, Media and the Arts on the campus of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) in Alexandria, VA, is another case in point. NOVA is the largest public educational institution in Virginia and the second-largest com- munity college in the U.S., comprised of more than 75,000 students and 2,600 faculty and staff members.
